She is all grown up! I can't believe that Lauren will be graduating from high school next year. I first met Lauren almost 9 years ago when she was this cute little girl. Now she has grown into this beautiful young woman who is bound and determined to change the world. After Lauren graduates from Glendora High School, she will spend her first semester of college in Australia, studying abroad. We always thought that Lauren would come to APU for college because that is where her Mom works (with me), but she wants to do something completely different and unique, because that is who she is. We spent last Sunday afternoon roaming around Glendora High School capturing some great images of Lauren and her favorite spots. Gina, Lauren's mom and good friend was tearing up as I was capturing Lauren's images. And while she wasn't tearing up, she was laughing hysterically at Lauren and her funny smiles.
*Thank you Lauren and Gina for a fun afternoon. Lauren, I am so proud of you and can't wait to see what God has in store for you over the next year.

Happy "belated" Halloween!
Yesterday was quite a "TREAT" because I had the Shahbaz Quadruplets over for some pictures before they went up to their church for the harvest festival. Cedar was a little ladybug, Jonah was a dinosaur, Jeremiah was a dog, and Jordan was a crazy monkey! We let them run around in our back yard, which they had never been in by the way. And, for the first time, I got to break out my refinished antique black chair. It was a huge hit! I had purchased some little "Pum Pum's" for the kiddos, which they thought were balls, so they would pick them up and then throw them. It didn't matter, because it was so fun to see how much they have grown, and really how strong they are. Enjoy a fun collage of them in their costumes.
Also at the harvest festival were my new little friends, Austin, Walker and Logan. They had so much energy while in the bounce house, it was hard to snap a picture of them and have it be in focus. Aren't they cuties?
After I got home from the harvest festival, the trick o' treaters began to arrive. I wanted a lot to show up so I could get rid of all of the candy we had purchased. We did not have very many this year, which I think was good, due to both the weather and the uncertain safety out there for the children. The leftover candy will have to be evicted from our house on Monday morning, because my hips can't afford it. I think all of Upland was at the harvest festival at Life Bible Fellowship Church. More and more churches are doing this every year, which I think is fantastic. Our church, did their last weekend, and while I could not attend, I am sure that it was packed as well.
We did have one "furry" trick o' treater, and that was our neighbor's dog, Tahoe! Jaison and Nancy bring him over every year to show off his Darth Vadar costume. Here are a few pictures of Tahoe:

Triple Joy: Austin, Logan and Walker!
A special thank you to Amy, the Quadruplets Mom for referring this beautiful family to us. The title of this post is Triple Joy, which I got from the Triplets Mom, Kirsten. This past weekend, I had the privilege of photographing this amazing and kind family. Kirsten, Jorge, Austin, Logan and Walker met me at a local park and we had a blast "capturing life as it happens" with three growing boys. Wow! Can I just say, they have a lot of energy and are full of love.
At first, it took the triplets a while to warm up to me, but then it was within the blink of an eye, I started to hear "CHEESE" from the mouths of babes! "Yeah lady, take our picture because we are the cutest triplets in town"! That is what they really wanted to tell me.
*Some of you are probably wondering if I am going into the business of photographing multiples? Just Maybe! If you are a Mom of Multiples and you are reading this, you should contact me directly through my website! :) I think all little ones are precious and special gifts from God, but there is something about Multiples and their journey of how they have come into this world. Many couples who struggle with infertility seek treatment to conceive and multiple births is the normally outcome. These little guys are just that! Miracles of Life! They have a special place in my heart, just like the Shahbaz Quads.
During our session together, it was all about race cars, guns, dots, the playground, dirt and smiles! The boys were as patient as three and a half year olds could be until they had the urge to get onto that playground. While they were playing, I had the opportunity to capture some great images of Kirsten and Jorge, their beautiful parents.
Austin, Logan and Walker are going to be four years old next month and I just love them to pieces now. I can't wait for the next opportunity to photograph them.
Kirsten and Jorge, thank you for the opportunity to capture your family with my camera. You both are very special people with a beautiful story, and three very precious little boys. Austin, Logan and Walker, I can't wait to see you again, and HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY!

Noah Douglas: 6 Months
With this session and my last session with the Shahbaz Quads, I can't believe how fast all of my little clients are growing. This just goes to show the miracle of life and how precious it really is. Or the old phrase, "they grow like weeds".
They most certainly do, and Noah is no exception. This past weekend, I met Noah and his parents bright and early so we could capture this little guy at 6 months. Or, 6.58 months to be mathematically correct! We have to plan our sessions around Noah's fathers crazy busy schedule with work, choir practice and of course, Pittsburgh Steelers games. It's true, Noah's father is the biggest Steelers fan out there. Noah hasn't picked a team yet, but I am sure he will have a fan divided shirt with the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers on it. I love photographing little ones at 6 months because their personalities are just beginning to form, and they start laughing and talking. Okay, not really talking, but they are just now hearing themselves giggle and coo. Noah was just that. He laughs, has this big bright smile and loves his parents so much.
