Baby Vince: Newborn Session

Meet Baby Vince. He was also born December 2nd, the same day as Kylie, and was born at 12:30 p.m. His parents Vince and Dianna couldn't be happier to have him here, and he was just a little bundle of love the entire afternoon. I also work with Dianna at APU, so it is exciting to see how lives are constantly changing around us, and to watch their new family grow.

*Vince and Dianna, thank you so much for inviting me into your home to photograph your precious little guy. And thank you for being patient while I get these pictures up for you. Merry Christmas!

Baby Kylie: Newborn Session

This past weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to do two newborn sessions, for two babies that were not only born the same day, but their parents both work with me at APU. And no, they are not twins.

Little Kylie Elizabeth was born December 2, 2008 at 10:11 p.m. and weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz to proud first time parents, Deric and Liz. Kylie was just too precious for words, and hardly fussed during the session. Nana joined us for the session, because she cannot get enough of either one of her granddaughters now. If you remember Jadyn from some previous sessions, she is Kylie's cousin, Sharon's granddaughter.

Deric and Liz are such wonderful parents and were so calm throughout the session. For being first time parents, and only for 12 days, they were doing pretty well. I can't wait to watch another one of my little ones grow up.

*Deric and Liz, thank you for inviting me into your beautiful home to photograph your precious gift from our Lord. She is gorgeous! And Nana, thank you again for another amazing opportunity.

Precious Kayla: Newborn Session

Over the Thanksgiving break, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph precious Kayla, daughter of Shino and Eric. She was born October 26th, and is a precious gift from the Lord. Shino and Eric invited me into their home to basically live with them for a few hours to photograph Kayla in her own element. Of course, Mia, the first child (their Cocker Spaniel) had to be the star of the show at times and definitely let us know when she wanted her picture taken. Kayla is the sweetest newborn, and hardly fussed the entire time I was there. Even though, she did give her parents a few surprises during the session, we all had a great time.

*Shino and Eric, thank you so much for inviting me into your beautiful home to photograph your precious little girl. You are both so blessed to have Kayla in your lives.

Maxwell Bryant: 6 Month Session

I can't believe how fast they all grow. You have all heard the old phrase, "they grow like weeds". Well, little Maxwell is now 6 months and he is so grown up!

We waited to do this session until his Grandma (Nona) came back from Italy. The bib Max is wearing in one of the pictures below is straight from Italy. If you saw the previous post, Mr. Maxwell wished you all a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed being outside. We had a lot of fun with his 6 month session because he is learning where his feet and hands are, and developing those fun facial expressions. Mr. Maxwell would rather be outside on the grass with the breeze blowing through his hair than inside all bundled up. He is definitely an outdoors kiddo!

One fun thing to mention is that we went over to Max's grandparents house last night after Thanksgiving dinner to give them a preview of the slideshow. I think everyone watched it about 25 times. So be sure you watch it that much as well. Just Kidding!

*Susan and Kathy, thank you so much for a fun day with Maxwell. It was a blast catching up with you and also capturing Max in his next stage of life.

John & Laura +3 boys

Special thanks to Amy Shahbaz, Mom of the Quads for referring this beautiful family to us.

This past weekend, I met up with John, Laura and their three beautiful boys. Ethan, Andrew and Jacob. Sometimes, you never know what to expect, or how the session will flow when you meet a family for the first time. I will say, that this family was extremely organized, and willing to do different creative shots to step out of their comfort zone. Little Jacob is 14 weeks old and is just the cutest, and that hair! He wins the contest if I was having one, for my client under the age of 6 months with the most hair. You have to love the little Mohawk he had going on. Ethan is six years old, is in kindergarten and is quite the artist. His artwork was hanging all over their home. Andrew is four years old and mighty tall for a four year old. Actually, Ethan is pretty tall as well. Andrew is full of energy, talks a mile a minute and I had a hard time keeping up with him. John and Laura are very much in love and cherish the love that has formed their family. From the moment I walked into their home, I felt the love that surrounds this wonderful family. After getting some shots of little Jacob or Jakers as they call him, we went over to the park for some more fun.

*John and Laura, thank you very much for inviting me into your home to capture the love that surrounds your beautiful family.

Noah Douglas: 3 Month Session

It's true! Noah Douglas is a little over 3 months old, actually almost 4 months this week! The morning of the 4th of July, I met Dave, Marsha and Noah at their home so we could capture some images of Noah for his 3 month session. This was the first time Dave was going to be available to join us, which I was extremely happy! And, Marsha was going to be leaving for Colorado for a few weeks with little Noah the next day. We set out to find some good spots on the way to Azusa Canyon and made it into the housing development where some friends live. Unfortunately, we were once again, eaten alive by bugs which made it difficult to get some relaxed images. *note to self, start bringing bug spray! The sun was rather bright given it was morning, but were were still able to get some great images of Noah. Noah has grown so much since our last session and he is starting to laugh, smile, and is slowly figuring out what those two hands of his are doing, and how many fingers he has. So super cute!!!

Dave and Marsha, thank you so much for being patient while waiting for these pictures. And thank you for allowing me to capture images of you both with your handsome little guy Noah! I can't wait for his 6 month session to see how his personality has changed.

On the cover of.....Whitworth Today!

If you are wondering how the Quads are, you will have to check back after July 9th, because I will be doing their 15 month photo session! I was over at their home this past Sunday after church and caught a glimpse of my four precious models. Oh my how they have grown since their 1st Birthday Party! So, check back next week, as I assure you it will be great!

Today is Phil's Birthday! Happy Birthday Phil....aka Dad of Amazing Quadruplets!

So, back to the title of this post...On the cover of Whitworth Today! If you have been Keeping Up With the Quads on their blog and on this photo blog, you would know that they have quite an amazing story, and hundreds of pictures to document it. Phil went to Whitworth University up in Spokane, Washington for his Bachelor's degree, and during his time in college, he met so many amazing people who committed to he and Amy to be there through the thick and the thin. Phil and Amy could not have made it this far with the Shahbabies had it not been for those people from Whitworth and some amazing people at APU. Many colleges and universities have a quarterly magazine specifically geared towards their alumni where they give updates, etc. At APU, we call it APU Life, and at Whitworth, they call it Whitworth Today. The people behind this publication wanted to do a story on Phil, Amy and the Quads and use some of our photographs taken over the past year. Click here for that story.

Maxwell Bryant: Newborn Session

Last weekend, we had the honor of taking photographs for our neighbors very first grandchild. Maxwell Bryant is the first grandchild to Susan and Jerry, and son of parents Kathy and Jerry. Kathy and Jerry brought little Maxwell up to his grandparents house from Orange County to celebrate father's day. Since he is a little over a month old, he is still pink and "wrinkly" which is perfect for a newborn session.

At first, Maxwell did okay while having his pictures taken, until he let us know he had gas in his little tummy and was cranky for a few pictures. We were still able to get some beautiful pictures of him that totally capture his personality. Towards the end of the photo session, we took little Maxwell out to the back yard where the temperature was still a little warm, which was okay for him. We layed him on the grass and he was perfectly calm. The breeze went through his hair and he just loved every minute of it. I think he is definitely like his father and loves the outdoors and can't wait to get him on his first surfboard.

**Susan and Jerry, thank you for giving us the opportunity to photograph your first grandchild. Kathy and Jerry, you have a handsome little guy and we can't wait to photograph him for his next session.
